Portugal coach Roberto Martinez was pleased with his team’s response after they overturned their deficit to beat Denmark and reach the UEFA Nations League semi-finals.

Portugal lost the first game in Denmark 0-1, but in the second game at Estádio Jose Alvalade, Martinez’s team won 3-2, forcing extra time and Portugal scoring two more goals to win 5-2 in 120 minutes, 5-3 on aggregate, and advance to the semi-finals to meet Germany.

“It was a very different performance to the สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน one we played in Denmark. I saw the ability to read the game and create chances. We scored five goals, which is not easy.”

“The atmosphere in Copenhagen (first game) was already good, but today in Alvalade was much better.”

“Football is a lesson in life. Nothing comes easy. It’s not about going on the pitch and winning 3-0 all the time. Life is about fighting, hard work and honesty.”

“The team showed all the Portuguese values: fight, personality, resilience and many qualities in important moments,” Martinez said.

Regarding Trincao’s brilliance, who scored two goals after entering the starting lineup, Martinez said: “It’s not easy to secure a spot in the starting lineup, but he has been working hard and waiting for his opportunity, it was wonderful to see him score and deliver a great performance, he showcased his immense talent.”
