Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary manager of Manchester United, has revealed in a rare interview that despite washing his hands in a golden basin for over 11 years, he still wants to return to being a head coach. However, due to his declining health, he will have to leave it to the new generation.
Ferguson is the most successful manager in British football history, turning the Red Devils into a powerhouse over a period of almost three decades, until his triumphant retirement as the 2012-13 English Premier League champions.
Now 82 years old, he has health problems to the point of having to undergo a heart bypass surgery, but he has recovered and returned to his normal life. He occasionally shows up at the football field to watch games, and he still misses the atmosphere of working on the field.
“Life is great right now. I’ve been retire for 11 years, so it’s time to adapt,” he told BBC Breakfast.
“As a manager Promotion Ufabet, I think about it from time to time.”
“I think the first year after retiring, I had the chance to go to the Champions League final and I told my wife, Katie. That’s what I miss – the atmosphere of a big game in the European Club Championship.”
“That’s why I make a habit of going to the Champions League final because I can find something to connect with. Something I enjoy doing every day.”
“Because this is a big event that Manchester United should always be a part of.”
Ferguson was the last Manchester United manager to win the Champions League in 2008, which is 16 years since then. The current team is playing in the Europa League.
